About TAIGF

and the team behind the festival

This section is still under construction, but what we can say is this: behind the festival stands a dedicated team of musicians and organizers who care deeply about the guitar and the people who play it.

TAIGF 2025 marks a new chapter. With a broader international scope and a new base in Bergen city, the festival is growing — but the spirit remains the same. We bring together outstanding artists, passionate teachers, and the next generation of guitarists for a week of concerts, masterclasses, and shared musical experiences. The international competition, with its final rounds held in the stunning surroundings of Balestrand, will feature 40 of the world’s most promising young players — streamed live to audiences around the globe.

At its core, the festival is about people. Whether you’re a performer, student, listener, or friend of the guitar, this is a place to connect — through music, conversation, and shared moments. We look forward to welcoming you to Bergen and Balestrand in 2025.

What a joyful experience TAIGF was! It was only the first edition, but the organization was absolutely top-notch: fantastic concerts by some of the biggest stars of the guitar world (Zoran Dukic, Duo Assad, Anabel Montesinos, Yamandu Costa), an excellent competition with huge prizes and such a friendly atmosphere - it felt like we were a big family for five days 😁

Many congratulations to all the competitors and especially my friends in the final round - Marko Topchii for 1st, Ioanna Kazoglou for 3rd (Greek team🥹🇬🇷) and Nikica Polegubić for 4th prize. Huge bravo to Benno Panhans for winning the youth prize too. Absolutely outstanding artists! 🫶

Many thanks to the man himself @tino.andersen, to the jury, to the organising team and to everyone involved in making this event a reality - special thanks to @henry_reitan for his hospitality at the start of the travel, after having had a 9-hour flight delay which ruined all my plans for the first couple of days 🫠

First time visiting Norway and already looking forward to going back! I hope the festival gets the attention it deserves in the coming editions - it really was one of the best guitar events I have ever attended.

See you next time Bergen!
